BART Time is a mobile web app which displays real-time arrival info for the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit system.
BART Time lets you create separate home screen bookmarks for your more used stations and takes advantage of a feature in both Android and iOS to launch them like a native app, in a full-screen mode without the standard browser tools or address bar.

Because BART Time is a web page bookmarked on your home screen, you can add as many BART stop or station shortcuts as you want.

BART Time started as a native Muni arrival times app named Muniverse in 2009 with Nick O’Neill to create a better display of arrival times using NextBus data than other apps at the time.

Muniverse 2.0, circa 2011
As time passed, other apps improved, added features, and we moved on to other projects, it became impractical to maintain the native Muniverse app.
The BART Time web app started as Muni Time, another arrival times app I began working on after we sunset Muniverse.
Open this URL in the browser on your Android (Chrome) or iPhone (Safari):
Use the browser's share tool to save the link to your iPhone (Safari) or Android phone (Chrome) and select the home screen shortcut option.
Depending on the version of iOS or Android you are running this will look a little different, but works essentially the same.

Once bookmarked to your home screen, the stop will open like an app.

Tip: creating a folder for your shortcuts is an easy way to keep them from cluttering your home screen.
